Four Agencies Have Not Inputed Formation Details, CASN Registration Will Still Be Held in June

Kemenpan RB asked ministries/institutions and regional governments to speed up filling in the formation details because there are agencies that haven't yet.

JAKARTA, KOMPAS - Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform, Abdullah Azwar Anas, wants the registration of State Civil Apparatus candidates (CASN) to begin immediately after the completion of the validation process for necessary formations. Until now, the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform has been waiting for the detailed formation input from each ministry/institution (K/L) and local governments, which has not been completed yet.

"The opening of registration for CPNS through the 2024 Official School is planned to be held in the second week of May, while the selection process for CASN 2024 is planned to be implemented starting in June or July after the government agency receives the decision letter Menpan RB regarding determining the formation requirements for ASN employees," said Anas during a press conference at the Office of the Ministry of Communication and Information, Jakarta, Friday (3/5/2024). Thus, CASN registration for this year will be carried out according to the predetermined schedule.

Anas explained that the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform had determined the formations for the 2024 CASN recruitment, totaling 1.28 million positions, consisting of 75 ministries and institutions with 427,850 positions, as well as 524 local governments with 862,174 positions. The 1.28 million positions are to fulfill the national need for 2.3 million civil servants, which will be carried out gradually.

The registration for civil servant recruitment through the School of Government is planned to be opened in the second week of May 2024, while the implementation of the 2024 ASN selection process is planned to begin in June or July after the government agency receives the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform's decree regarding the determination of the ASN employee formation needs.

Anas also outlined the human resources (HR) needs for the planned capital city of Indonesia (IKN), which will require 71,643 positions. This includes 14,114 civil servant candidates (CPNS) and 57,529 government employees with work agreements (PPPK).

Four agencies have not yet determined the formation details

In addition, based on data from the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) on May 2, 2024, as many as 602 ministries/agencies and local governments have filled in details of their formations into the BKN system. BKN is currently accelerating verification of the formation filling carried out by the ministries/agencies and local governments.

Nevertheless, it is noted that there are still four institutions that have not filled out the detailed formation form. Anas refused to disclose the four agencies. Anas ensured that Kemenpan and RB as well as BKN continue to coordinate with various government agencies to accelerate the filling out of formation details. He acknowledged that there are different work methods and understandings from various institutions that have made the completion of formation details not yet implemented to this day.

We hope that the agency will quickly accelerate the filling of its formation details in the BKN system. This includes regional institutions, whose filling deadline has actually been extended. If this is already completed 100 percent, we can begin the registration of CASN 2024 that the public has been eagerly waiting for.

Acting Head of the National Civil Service Agency, Haryomo Dwi Putranto, added that the agency provides a career portal on the BKN website that can be used by CASN applicants. Haryomo suggests that prospective applicants can see what needs to be done, how much income will be received, and what competencies are required.
