At first he feels ashamed and feels guilty towards his lord, Prabu Arjunasasrabahu. Simply by wanting Dewi Citrawati alone, he feels he has betrayed him. But now, because of his love, the feeling of guilt and shame goes away. He is a man like his lord. Is it wrong that he wants Dewi Citrawati like his lord? Even, he is the one who has the right, because not his lord, but he is the one who has worked so hard to win Dewi Citrawati. Without realizing it arrogance has slipped into him. And he covers his arrogance with the reason of love, which tells him, Dewi Citrawati is also in love with him. Won't he even be arrogant, if he rejects her love? In this case he is in doubt that his lord knows nothing about it. But why does his lord stay silent, as if he really doesn't know anything? Maybe it happens because his lord really loves him. But he thinks, maybe indeed love is never smooth, and only in turmoil love lives. Consequently the crisis of love must be accepted by all. Not only him, but also his lord and Dewi Citrawati cannot help but be involved in it. How to get out of the chaos of love, none of the three of them knows.
By thinking so, he is encouraged to never give up. His male passion and arrogance are burning. There come to him the lust that he does not want to lose. He no longer cares about respect for his lord, the king of Maespati. His lord is indeed a king, but in terms of love, the king is also a man like him. Kings and servants are thrones and positions in the kingdom. Love does not know the thrones and the positions. In terms of love, both are equally entitled and equally not entitled as well. Whoever is loved, he is the one who has the right to determine his love. Therefore it's not on Prabu Arjunasasrabahu or on himself, but it is on Dewi Citrawati the love depends. If so, he has the same opportunity as his lord. Because he feels, Dewi Citrawati also attaches her heart to him. He then lets his thoughts drift away, flying to follow his dreams of love.
If not for love, why did, on a moonlit night at Gandapurnama, Dewi Citrawati invite him into her tent? He feels that that night Dewi Citrawati no longer thought about Maespati. She wanted to stop her journey here, where the two of them could be in a tent in the Gandapurnama field. What a warm night. The moon only gave a dim light, while the lamp was too weak to withstand the wind blowing through the gaps in the tent. It seemed as if everyone was about to turn away, so that the two of them no longer needed to cover up their shame to spill their love. They were both silent, but their hearts were full of words. They just looked at each other, but their hearts embraced. They seemed to be holding back from each other, but their lust made them restless. They wanted to stop time, but time flew so fast, and taunted them, why didn't they want to use it right away. As time went by, he knew, Dewi Citrawati could no longer bear not to lay down on him. Why did I have to wait for it? Why didn't I go ahead to hug her? It turned out that time ran faster than they wanted. The two of them parted, simply leaving longing behind.
Opportunities always come, when they are allowed to be alone in Sriwedari Garden. Why will his lord let his wife be alone with him? He can't understand this. Eventually he doesn't want to find out anymore. The question changes, why does Dewi Citrawati want to be alone with him? Her husband obviously allows her, but if he doesn’t want to, the two of them will never have met. If this happens, isn't it a sign that Dewi Citrawati really wants it. This feeling makes his heart be flowery even more. At a time like this, he wants to convey the longing that has been stored in his heart for a long time. The longing that he holds on to all night, and will not leave even when it is morning. The longing that makes his ears always hear every step of the lover he is waiting for. The footsteps are so clear, but when he comes out, his lover has disappeared like a dream. To Dewi Citrawati, he wants to convey a song, why do you leave as fast as the morning dew, which does not leave the slightest trace of your love for me? He realizes that he has been daydreaming too far. And every time his daydreams throw him back into reality, that Dewi Citrawati is now the wife of a king of kings, for whom he is only a servant.
He had tested his bravery in dealing with the king of the kings. Evidently, he lost. The magic arrow given by his father, Cakrabaskara, was unable to knock down Prabu Arjunasasrabahu. Pierced by an arrow, Prabu Arjunasasrabahu turned into a mighty giant with many heads, which made him helpless. He fell to his knees, and came to know, that Prabu Arjunasasrabahu is the incarnation of Batara Wisnu. His defeat continued, precisely when he succeeded in giving Sriwedari Garden to Dewi Citrawati. The incident opened everyone's eyes, that Dewi Citrawati is the incarnation of Dewi Sri, who in this world has been outlined as the empress of Prabu Arjunasasrabahu as the incarnation of Batara Wisnu. It is impossible for him to go against this predetermined nature. So it is impossible for him to have Dewi Citrawati. Finally, he has to accept himself, he is just a servant to Prabu Arjunasasrabahu, the king of the kings of Maespati.
Like it or not, he has to put down his daydream. Time is moving very slowly. When night falls, he does not want to linger to see the beautiful moon. He imagines, the beauty of the moon will disappear when morning comes, just as his daydreams throw him away, when the ground on which he stands realizes he is just a servant. And he asks, which is really meaningful, his dream or his reality? At such a moment, Darmawati suddenly comes into his mind. He welcomes Darmawati's shadow happily. He feels that if Dewi Citrawati crushes his love, Darmawati will wake him up. If Dewi Citrawati invites him to soar into the high sky only to throw him back to the ground, Darmawati does not promise anything except to lead him so that he will accept himself again, just the way he is. And he feels that it is not Dewi Citrawati, but Darmawati who can make him happy.
