The Victory of the Intellectual
Daniel Dhakidae never admitted that the truth was accepted as something monolithic. He believed, when a truth begins to be made single, at that time the truth is betrayed.
Daniel Dhakidae
Anybody who knows him does not deny that Daniel Dhakidae deserves to be a symbol of the critical consistency of an intellectual. Traces of criticality, that stayed on him from a young age, when he studied at St. Petrus Seminary, Ritapiret, Flores, East Nusa Tenggara, were still preserved until he died on Tuesday (6/4/2021) at 7:24 a.m. at the age of 75.
The news of his death was actually a victory from the competition to maintain the criticality that his contemporaries rarely had. As a figure who had been filled with an abundance of wisdom and knowledge, the critical attitude of Bung DD, as we called him, never subsided.
